Before Covid some of the predicted trends for 2020 were "Off trends will be the On trend" or "Timeless looks that evolve" or "Sustainable Materials" and "Countryside Chic". With us having to stay at home I think design has taken these to a new level. For myself I have changed my own approach to design within my home. I want things to be clear of clutter, but show a very cozy loving warm feeling. Before my design taste was more classic design and maybe even a bit snobby for my guests. Now framed chairs are being replaced with over sized cushy chairs. Accessories are more leaning country chic and lots and lots of flowers. Many "hand-made" items decorate nooks and unusual places around the house, whether you made them or your children did, or perhaps you collect hand made things. Does anyone else find this new desire to create more of a "homey" feel within their home?
